I've played around with labeling these stories as "urban fantasy," "dark fantasy," and so forth but that never seemed quite right, thanks to the whole "spy vs spy" and "dark side of the city" vibe I was aiming for!
I liked the sound of this and thought I was at the beginning, but I don't think the story, or the road starts here. I'll walk a bit further back.
